ECHY is a French start-up company with a patented technology which diffuses natural light inside buildings using fiber optic cables

Our system captures sun rays on the outside of buildings and, using fiber optics, transports and diffuses the natural light inside, meaning that electric lighting can be switched off whenever it’s sunny. Research shows that up to 70% of interior lighting is used during the day time, and so when the sun is shining outside. ECHY has patented a system enabling you to harness this sunlight and diffuse it throughout the building’s interior, leading to impressive energy savings during sunshine hours (2.800 hours in Marseille, 1.600 in Paris).
