Make the most of your stay in Paris to visit -for free- the most emblematic sites of the French innovation ecosystem:

 

  • Société du Grand Paris, the public agency that carries out the new railway Grand Paris Express, which is Europe’s largest urban renewal project.
  • Paris Pionnières, the first incubator in France dedicated to business women.
  • Criteo, an online advertising firm, which is one of the most emblematic French unicorns. 
  • Numa, a major French startup accelerator, which has been expanding through the world and which now offers programs dedicated to international start-ups willing to develop in Europe from France.
  • Station F, the world's biggest startup campus, that opened last June and that will host 1,000 start-ups in the coming months. 

 

These visits are organized within 2 tours on October 4th. Each tour is independent and includes:

- the visits
- transfers by bus to the sites

All organizational and logistics costs are taken care of by Paris Region Entreprises.

Registration is required due to limited capacities and will be submitted to validation.

Visits of Société du Grand Paris and Criteo 

 

The SOCIETE DU GRAND PARIS is the public agency set up by the French Government in 2010 to deliver the Grand Paris Express, the new metro of the Capital Region. With its 68 new stations and 200 kilometers of additional tracks, Grand Paris Express consists of a ring route around Paris (line 15) and lines connecting developing neighborhoods (lines 16, 17 and 18). Its 4 new lines circle the capital provide connections with Paris’ 3 airports, business districts and research clusters. It will service 165,000 companies and daily transport 2 million commuters.

CRITEO is a "personalized retargeting company" that works with Internet retailers to serve personalized online display advertisements to consumers that have previously visited the advertiser's website. The company currently operates in a total of 30 markets around the world and is headquartered in Paris. Criteo was founded in Paris in 2005 by Jean-Baptiste Rudelle, Franck Le Ouay and Romain Niccoli. From 20 employees in 2008, the firm today employs 1,300 people.

Visits of Paris Pionnières and Numa

 

PARIS PIONNIERES helps women building their business at every stage of its development through 3 custom program, from the concept, the startup launching, to the market conquest. Created in 2005, it has grown into a platform of innovations for women entrepreneurs and is now the most mixed incubator in Paris. Paris Pionnieres has contributed to change the society by bringing more and more women into the Paris startup ecosystem: 350 startups launched, 1,000 jobs created, 30 million of euros raised. Paris is now the European capital of womentrepreneurship with 21 % of the Parisian startups founded by women in 2015.

 

NUMA empowers mission-driven tech entrepreneurs to solve the global problems of 2030. Education, health, food, water, transportation, energy, work, transparency and security : these subjects conciliate an urgent need to act and a meaningful technological response. Since 2000, their model has been comprised of two pillars: high performance and openness. Our synergic activities enable all types of entrepreneurs to collaborate : Startups, with an acceleration program; Corporates and public institutions, with open innovation, intrapreneurship and training programs; Communities, with hundreds of events on various topics related to tomorrow’s world and a free coworking space. 

The speaker will present the International development strategy of Numa, focusing on the new openings, NewYork City and Station F.

 

Station F is the world's biggest startup campus. It opened last June in Paris's 13th arrondissement. Based on a former railway depot known as la Halle Freyssinet, the 34,000m2 space will accommodate more than 1,000 startups and counts as founding partners companies such as Facebook, Microsoft, HEC, Thales, Ubisoft, or Amazon. Station F consits in a startup campus because it has an entire ecosystem on-site with startups, investors, public services, various startup programmes and more.
