This introductory yoga class is suitable for everyone! We will focus on breathing techniques, stretching head to toe, ending with stillness and a visualization activity.  Please come dressed in clothes that are comfortable and stretchy. Yoga mats will be available but feel free to bring your personal one if preferred.

Hear from current college women who will share their college experiences. You will get tips on how much to study, what to bring to your dorms with you, challenges you will face, and even how to get up for the dreaded 8 am class.

Session 1-Love is R-E-S-P-E-C-T--Room 5

Did you know that one in three adolescents in the U.S. is a victim of physical, sexual, emotional or verbal abuse from a dating partner? Or that one in 10 high school students has been purposefully hit, slapped or physically hurt by a boyfriend or girlfriend?  In this session we will chat about what constitutes the different types of abuse that are far too common in our dating relationships, what qualifies as a healthy/safe relationship and, what you can do if you or someone close to you is involved in an abusive relationship.  In the era of the #METOO and #TIMESUP campaigns, Andrea Schiola is speaking her truth about the relationship that could’ve killed her and, how she wishes she would’ve had these resources to get out sooner.

After achieving a life-long goal, this speaker reflects on what should be the self confidence booster of a lifetime, especially for a perpetual self-doubter (should be as the operative phrase here).  This session will explore issues of self confidence and why we should be our own biggest fan.

Exhibiting etiquette and elegance is an art form. Basic knowledge of proper introductions, acknowledging others and showcasing one’s passion creates a positive image. In this class learn the key techniques of being an artist of hospitality.

Session 1 & 2-Draw on Your Strengths (Block Session)--Room 8
No art experience needed to create your "one of a kind" collage on canvas. Starting from a quick and fun activity to identify the what, the who, the where and the why of things that and people who empower you. You will then design your canvas with words and images that remind you to live from a place of strength and choice. Reminder: if you take Session 1 you will also need to stay for the Session 2 time slot.

This session will discuss the ways negative self-talk impacts every area of our lives. Negative self-talk robs women of self-confidence, happiness, and motivation. In addition, social media, peers and other influences tell us who and what we need to be. It is time to stop the madness! This workshop will teach simple and effective ways to STOP the negative voices and instead, be a confident, happy woman who lives life with purpose.

In this session we will discuss how an unlikely career choice has lead me to become one of two women and one of the youngest members of the senior management team of my division. Our company is represented globally and is a male dominated industry of technology, building construction and sales. Some Statistics from, by The Muse Editor, https://www.themuse.com/advice/the-latest-stats-on-women-in-tech, show that women hold 56% of the professional jobs in the US. In the tech world we represent 28% of those in software jobs, 25% of IT jobs, 11% of Executives in Fortune 500 companies and only 5% of tech start ups are started by women. So what can we do?

Being authentic is a daily practice.  It is a moment-by-moment choice of embracing your truth and being fearless enough to share it with the world.  There is a profound peace that is discovered when one can confidently and unapologetically be themselves AT ALL TIMES.  This session is designed to help you first discover your authentic self and then practice that authenticity throughout every situation in life.  Be a part of the conversation as we discuss the benefits of living a positive life, what it means to have a positive presence, how to summon your energy from within and finding and embracing your confidence.  All attendees of these break out sessions will receive a complimentary one-on-one mentor session with Positive Presence Founder, former International Runway Model and nationally acclaimed entrepreneur and public speaker – Michelle Marie King.

In the United States, we eat in the zig-zag eating style with our utensils, while most other countries use the continental style. This session will demonstrate the two styles of utensil use, basic dining skills and table setting to enhance one’s knowledge of the dining experience whether at home, a restaurant or a formal engagement.

 In learning about the various beautiful and astounding attributes of the ELEPHANT we will be discovering aspects of our own selves as women, as future matriarchs, as powerful, caring, nurturing, strong and courageous beings; as well as understanding strength in unity. It is one thing to be a powerful individual but it is even greater when embracing the unified forces of other women. We don’t have to be competitors but rather supporters of each other in every way. It really does take a village to accomplish so many of our life goals.

Once we begin to tap into our inner elephant no matter what our challenges this strength will carry us to greater heights.
