The U.S. Commercial Service (CS) Western Japan and SelectUSA, in collaboration with local business partners, will organize a seminar in Osaka and Nagoya to promote foreign direct investment (FDI) from Japan to the United States. The theme of the event is “Innovation.”
The innovation culture in the United States – with deep roots in collaboration and knowledge-sharing, respect for diversity, adaptability, and flat organizational structures – catalyzes opportunities. By encouraging entrepreneurship, risk-taking, and even the risk of failure, this culture offers an added competitive edge to the business community.
Existing and potential investors (SMEs) from all industries are invited to learn about business possibilities in the United States. As many major Japanese corporations invest in the United States, SMEs are keen to learn how they too can start and grow a business in the United States.
U.S. Economic Development Organizations (EDOs) are expected to present how your region supports startups, introduce examples of business collaboration with companies from overseas, and share innovation success stories [suggested topics and keywords include AI/IOT, innovation in manufacturing, and innovation in your region’s strongest sectors].
